I am English, like meeting people from around the world, sharing culture. I have lived in Brazil and now I live in Lecco, Italy with my Italian boyfriend. For work I run a site and podcast which.... teaches lawyers English. Yes. Very exciting. I know. In the past I worked in the field of international environmental law. And ... once wrote an opera. I like people and other cultures. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Surfed with Nick in Brugge and Fede came to stay when I lived in London. I surfed with Luciano and Oscar in Brazil.

I like the arts and especially music, having previously studied classical music composition. Whilst I enjoy reggae, jazz, kora music, the beauty of traditional classical (and can probably enjoy any genre) I have a preference for contemporary classical music which is pushing boundaries of what you expect music is and which surprises you. I love Ligeti's 'Grand Macabre' because it challenges peoples prejudices about what opera is. It certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I can tell you about my experiences of living abroad, answer your questions about Brexit, share some southern Italian cooking tips with you which I learnt from my 'suochera'. I also do a lot of house sitting and pet sitting and can share my travel experiences of this.
