I live in Heidelberg, Germany, though do my best to escape every winter. In November 2026 I plan to go to Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Angola & Madeira. I try and lead my life according to Socrates' famous saying: "try everything once in life except incest and Morris Dancing." My philosophy (a section I now realise CS has scrapped) is to keep an open mind, relax, do your part for the world, and pick up hitchhikers. Plus a sarong is useful in every situation.

Films: LOTR, El Laberinto del Fauno, Trainspotting, Das Leben der Anderen; mainly enjoy horrors and sci-fi. Music: punk, reggae, folk, techno, house, classical; mainly techno though. Books: Crime and Punishment, Alice in Wonderland, Anna Karenina, Metamorphoses, Fathers and Sons; Cien Años de Soledad is my Bible.

Interests vary from sports to reading and travelling, though my main passion is writing, with which I have a love-hate relationship xD Like most Couchsurfers, I always want to learn about foreign cultures and different lifestyles. I also enjoy cooking, pubs and parties, and love card games :)
