HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I started doing a lot of hosting in Los Angeles when my roommates and I had a huge living room and I really loved it. I'm always ready to show someone around town and cook them some genuinely greasy American food. I also surf occasionally and have had entirely great and/or interesting experiences with my hosts. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I'm constantly trying to convert people to Couchsurfing - not because of the low cost (although that's certainly an added bonus), but because of the richness of the experiences I've had while traveling through Couchsurfing. Staying in a hostel or hotel seems so boring to me now because you can really only scratch at the surface of a city that way. It's always been the people and the small taste of their lives that they've shared with me that have made my travels so wonderful.
