i think couch surfing is a great way to meet new people, that the normal tourist does not meet during "normal" holiday trips. this inside knowledge that only people have, who live in a certain place , is a great opportunity to experience this place in a "different" way. being a normal tourist is boring. but being a couch surfer gives my holiday a lot more ways to experience a place in a different way.

i have spent a year in rhode island, usa as an exchange student. while i was there, i traveled to various places, including newyorkcity, boston, washington d.c., orlando, ... this is the reason why i started to love traveling so much.
