I really enjoy getting to know new people and their culture. And I also like showing them my culture. If someone needs a place to stay for some nights I really like helping out with my airbed. The same way I'm thankful for people who offer me their place when I'm traveling in their area. One always finds topics to talk about - quite interesting how much strangers might have to tell each other. In my opinion it's nice to know people all over the world who are always ready to show you their homes, way of living and hobbies. Couchsurfing is a much nicer option that a hotel room, I think, because you meet local people right away who can show you interesting spots you might have never seen without them and who you can have really inspiring conversations with.
