CURRENT MISSION to see a lot more of this world ABOUT ME i hate writing about myself, so i'll keep it simple. i got divorced a few years ago, and now the kids have left the nest, i'm enjoying the lack of responsibility and freedom to do what i want for a change! i think i'm a fairly easy going, open minded person and i enjoy a laugh and a drink with anybody.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING still early days - i hope to update this later COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE no cs experience yet, but i often have people stay over - mainly japanese friends passing through. thats always fun.

a quick look at my bookshelf, and there's books by lecarre, murakami, and michael moore... the dvd shelf has lots of terry gilliam, time bandits is a personal favourite, michel gondry, david lynch, and christopher nolan. lots of studio ghibli films too. favourite film ever is probably memento. music seems mainly to be female vocalists, like carole king, joni mitchell and norah jones. a sprinkling of elo, rod stewart and beatles too...

i was going to say i'll get back to you on this, but last week i gave my daughter away at her wedding, so that will do for a start.

i lived in japan for a few years, so japan and japanese is a big interest in my life. still studying the language (mada mada desu...) the other main interest would be my old tr2 which i like driving whenever i can. also enjoy cooking and baking - trying to perfect my sourdough bread at the moment. love to have a wood burning oven in the garden one day.
