I recently graduated with a Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology at Middle East Technical University, Ankara/Turkey. Afterwards, I moved to Kucukkuyu/Canakkale in Turkey. In general, I do not opt for a touristic vacation but mostly merge my research and other activities with my free time. Therefore, I travel to different places if I have a chance to be supported by funds, projects, or voluntary organizations. I like reading, walking, going to cultural and art events, listening to music, riding a bicycle, and getting lost in nature. I joined Couchsurfing while living in Finland for academic research. Thereby, my first experiences as a host and as a guest with Couchsurfing were in Finland, in 2022.
