I've been to many hostels, they are great for meeting new people and getting all sorts of advice, however, it's harder to connect with locals. Couchsurfing forces me to be open-minded to everyone, their culture and their lives. It also makes me feel at home anywhere, something so valuable when you travel for long periods of time.

I am French and I can also speak a rusty Spanish if you are interested in practicing them! I LOVE to cook and I'd be happy to help in the kitchen - I don't eat any animal products, but do not worry I can cook for myself and more!
