I packed two suitcases and set out to learn Spanish in Paraguay when I was 15. While there, I hitchhiked on a chicken truck to rio for carnaval. In hindsight it was pretty silly, but at the time, I thought it was awesome.

I like learning from others. I believe that people learn best when in contact, not in a vacuum.

I love languages, written and spoken. I love cooking, mainly because I like eating and the community that food creates. I've been throughout the world and enjoy the process of traveling and exploring. Some of my hobbies include skating and surfing, diving, gardening, people watching. I revel in being outside. Art.
