Staying at someone else's place has more benefits than getting a hotel. You meet new people, can learn and hear an inside view of the culture, people, foods and etc. A bunch of times it is cheaper too if you traveling on a budget and as I am a student who wants to go everywhere I am always looking for alternatives where to stay.
