🌿 Summer Notice 🌿 Hi everyone! I won’t be accepting any Couchsurfing requests during the summer. I’ll be travelling myself, and I also have a flatmate staying over the summer. Thanks for understanding and have a great summer! 🌞 ‼️‼️‼️ No reviews + lazily filled-out profile + no photos = no reply from me.‼️‼️‼️ 📚Please Read Before Sending a Request If you want to ask me for hosting, please take a moment to read my profile first. I know it’s a lot of text—but you’re asking to stay in my home, so it’s only fair that you know who I am and what the conditions are. ✅️I HOST ONLY DURING A WEEKEND. From Friday to Monday. And also… whether you actually like me as a person. Trust me, I’ll read your profile too—probably twice. 👩🏼ABOUT ME Hi! I’m Slovak🇸🇰, but I moved to the Czech🇨🇿 Republic 8 years ago for university and somehow never left. Now I live in Prague and teach Slovak and Czech to foreigners, which means I talk a lot and genuinely enjoy grammar—yep, one of *those* people. I’m thoughtful, a bit of a dreamer, and I value honesty and depth. I love slow mornings, smart conversations, people who are kind without trying too hard, and those who can make me laugh with dry or dark humor. 👩🏼🏫What I Do I’m a teacher and a linguistics student, focusing on Slavic morphology (sounds scary, but it's just fun with word forms). When I’m not working, I write poetry, read, or just walk around the city. 😁Fun Facts – I walk everywhere and avoid public transport when I can. – I laugh at things I maybe shouldn’t. – I can teach you Slovak or Czech bad words. – I can cook, pretty well.

Почему я на Couchsurfing
I don’t really have many people to travel with these days. Maybe it’s an age thing—everyone’s busy, planning, settling down… and I still want to wander. Couchsurfing feels like a beautiful way to see places through someone else’s eyes, not just through guidebooks. Of course, I’d be more than happy to return the kindness—whether it’s by sharing a meal, a story, or just being a respectful guest who’s curious about the world. I love hearing what others have experienced, seen, and would recommend. Also, there's English. I realized I rarely get a chance to actually speak it, so this is also a small challenge for me—to communicate, learn, and maybe ask for the occasional translation help (nothing Google couldn’t handle though).
Музыка, кино и книги
Most of the time I’m surrounded by textbooks, grammar guides, and whatever the university throws at me—but when I have a moment for myself, I love detective stories. Give me a smart mystery and a rainy evening, and I’m happy. As for music, it’s a mix of everything. I listen to a lot of songs in Russian, Ukrainian, and Polish. Sometimes I’ll play something from the radio, but only if the lyrics are interesting—I like music that says something. When I just want background noise, I’ll go for house or something rhythmic. And my heart? It belongs to the music of Final Fantasy. I even went to a live orchestra concert once—it gave me chills. I still think about it.
Одно удивительное, что я сделал
I’ve lost 23 kg—and I’m still going. It’s been a long journey, not just physical but also mental. And it taught me a lot about discipline, patience, and how strong I can be when I stop giving up on myself.
Учить, учиться, делиться
– Want to sound like a local in Slovakia or the Czech Republic? I can teach you the finest selection of local swear words—with proper pronunciation and cultural context, of course. – If I have time, I’ll happily cook something for you. I like food that tells a story. – I know some amazing spots around Prague—quiet cafés, moody bookstores, places with great wine or the best view. – I can help you with Slovak or Czech if you’re learning. Even if you're not, I might accidentally start explaining grammar. – And if you're in the mood, we can sing karaoke or just sit somewhere, drink coffee, and overanalyze life like true philosophers.
Что я могу предложить хостам
I'm a respectful, tidy, and easy-going guest who always tries to bring positive energy. I can help with cooking, cleaning, pet care, or practicing languages (especially Slovak, Czech, Russian, and English). I enjoy good conversation, sharing stories, and learning about different ways of life. I'm also independent and don't require constant attention — I appreciate both connection and personal space.
Мои интересы
I love getting lost in cities (on purpose), reading poetry out loud when no one's listening, and watching old buildings quietly exist. I enjoy writing—mostly poetry and reflections—and I’m always trying to capture that one perfect sentence that says more than a whole conversation. I’m fascinated by languages and how people think in them. I also like exploring cafés, cooking for friends, and board games that make you overthink everything. If there’s music playing, I’ll probably be humming along—or holding a karaoke mic like I was born for it. I go to the gym regularly, mostly to stay sane. And I travel whenever there’s a chance—be it far away or just to the next village with a funny name. A souvenir that always makes me smile? A cookbook with national dishes and pictures. No photos, no joy!
