As I travel, I often am looking for a more local experience. Couchsurfing is a great way to make connections and have a more human experience anywhere I go.

I love post-rock. Indie folk often floats my boat too. I enjoy some electronic varieties. I'll range from Mogwai to Explosions In The Sky, Gregory Alan Isakov to Murder By Death, Com Truise to ODESZA. Music is huge. I just enjoy good vibes and capturing a feeling. With movies, I love Quentin Tarantino. I seem most often to take friends movie recommendations. So if you have something good to recommend, I'm probably game to watch it. Some of my favorites though have been The Fountain, The Fall and There Will Be Blood. Malcolm X's Autobiography is my favorite book. It's a miracle, a snap shot into the mind of an incredible human being as he explains his life in the midst of a huge change that altered his perspective and ultimately led to his assassination. I'll also have or will read just about anything by Joseph Campbell. I'm happy to indulge in things like Game of Thrones or some Joseph Abercrombie to keep reading light too.
