I really like the idea of couchsurfing as it is a great opportunity to meet people from other countries and learn about their life styles and culture. I always feel comfortable when I'm surrounded by people from different origins and I like to improve my language skills. It's a unique chance to get to know places without traveling or discovering new places with the help of natives. Moreover, it also helps eliminating (or confirming ;P) prejudices.
