Hi everyone!! I'm Margaux, a 20 years old French girl from the Alps :) I'm a master student in public affairs - I studied sociology during my bachelor and I'm interested in politics and gender studies as well. I studied in France for the past two years, went in an amazing/increadible/very exciting exchange last year in Canada (Ontario) and now I'm now discovering the amazing city of Paris!! I'm into ice skating! My thing is figure skating - I practice and I used to be a coach, so I can teach as well ;) I'll look for an outside ring anywhere! I really really really like nature and outdoors :) Take me for long hikes, camping, canoeing, skiing - I will always be in for an adventure. And I like simple things and good times! I live for music and food (even better when shared!), I feel alive traveling, discovering new people and new things, having long conversation with people from different backgrounds, and challenging cultural stereotypes!

Почему я на Couchsurfing
My mom always told me to be a traveler rather than a tourist :) I feel alive learning from people and their experiences, meeting new persons is the fuel of my life - I think that sharing someone's life for a day or two is the best way to grasp what a city/country/a region's culture and diversity are all about. ((Plus couchsurfing generally includes foodsharing and food makes me very happy).
Музыка, кино и книги
I'm a musical omnivorous! I love music - I can't think of a better way to bound with people, and I can't think of a better way to get introduced to new tunes than meeting new people :) I'll listen to what you listen to! Any live music event, jam session and festivals will get me veeeeery enthousiastic :D My personal favourites include good old stuff -tastes you inherit from your Dad- (The Doors, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Led Zeppelin), and especially psychedelic rock (Pink Floyd and Hendrix are the shit). I like music you can dance on (check Parov Stelar and PostModern Jukebox) and I'll make you discover French music ;) My favourite books include French surrealist poetry and science-fiction, but it actually reduced to academic textbooks and paper these days....
Одно удивительное, что я сделал
I lived the biggest adventure of my life just last summer! Bought a 21 years old (older than me!) shitty car in Vancouver, and travelled the US -sleeping in it on Walmart parking lots, mainly- for three month, going through the West Coast, till the Mexican boarder, to Florida, till Montreal. It was GREAT, have a look: https://www.blog-trotting.fr/voyage/989-margal-et-marin-on-wheels. Lived my dream life in Canada for a year, skated on frozen lakes, skated the canal in Ottawa, discovered the best people. Skydived with my whole little family in the Alps! Ran a half marathon drinking wine (in Beaujolais) with my momma! Travelled Europe in night trains for a whole summer when I turned 18! Trekked all the way from Cuzco to Machu Picchu (in Peru) with my parents and two brothers when I was 12! Hiked Mount Agung in Bali for days and saw the sunrise on the top of the world! Travelled Corsica by foot (and camping) for a month (GR20, les connaisseurs savent)! Scuba dived in Guadeloupe! An rediscovering the Alps beauty every winter...
Что я могу предложить хостам
I'd be SO happy to cook French specialities for you (please lemme feed you), I'll cook my grandpa ratatouille (VEGAN/GLUTENFREE/full of olive oil thus omegas) and you'll ask for the receipe. I can give a French lesson anytime (I once was a French teacher to refugees in my hometown)! But the domain I am the most skillfull in is the ice, and you should definitely ask for a lesson is ice skating (I used to be a teacher of figure skating for lil kids) ;)
