My name is Mel, I'm 27 years old and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I work full-time as a travel consultant which I have been doing for the past 6.5 years, it's truly rewarding to be a part of other people's travel experiences when I'm not off exploring myself. I'm also studying an undergraduate double degree in Science/Arts, with Clinical Science and Islam-West majors. My greatest passion in life is to travel. Every year I try to go some place I have never been before, and my bucket list is forever growing. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new and exciting places and cultures.

My favourite music style is folk and acoustic, some of my favourite artists include Pete Murray, Ed Sheeran and Passenger. I enjoy thrillers and heart felt dramas. My favourite director is Christopher Nolan, and some of my favourite films include the Dark Knight trilogy, The Prestige, and The Danish Girl. I mostly enjoy fantasy and true crime books. My favourite book series is Harry Potter.

In 2011 I travelled to Iceland. There is a lake that runs between the Eurasian and American tectonic plates, and so you're essentially in two continents at the same time when you're in the water. Snorkelling in 2 degree Celsius, 2000 year old, crystal clear glacial water remains to this day one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and one that I will never forget.
