I joined Couchsurfing hoping my friends and I'd be able to cut back on living expenses during our two month trip around Southeast Asia in January and February of next year.

The four months I spent living in rural Yunnan last year were absolutely amazing. Even at my lowest when I was dehydrated and crying for four days from a stomach illness I couldn't imagine wanting to be anywhere else.
