I started using couchsurfing whilst on a huge road trip around the USA with my best friend from University. We found that CS is a fantastic way to meet new people! Through couchsurfing I made new friends and saw the states through the eyes of the people who live there. I'm a huge believer that guide books and tourist information centres can only offer so much! Now that I am a full time teacher, I will likely be unable to host, unfortunately. However, some weekends and school holidays might work!

I think that driving 14,000 miles around the states in a minivan was pretty amazing! We also got on court at an NBA game in New Orleans and won $100, that was really cool.
