Maybe my favourite german author is Benedict Wells (Vom Ende der Einsamkeit, Hard Land..) and recently I discovered Thomas Glavinic (Das größere Wunder), the books of Richard Powers and Carson McCullers (the heart is a lonely hunter). Elif Shafak from Turkey is one of the most attentive and creative authors I’ve ever read. I adored Harry Potter and believe it's great to improve in other languages.
