CURRENT MISSION -: “TRAVEL BHARAT(INDIA)🇮🇳 WITHOUT MONEY” I'm Shivang Tiwari, a curious soul from Varanasi, India, and a passionate solo traveler who believes in deep human connections, stories, and simple joys. ✨ I’m someone who finds happiness in sharing a cup of coffee, good conversations, soulful music, writing poetry, and learning from people and cultures around the world. I recently completed my MBA in Finance & HR, but my real education has always come from the people I meet and the roads I take. I don’t drink or smoke — I believe in living honestly and with intention. I enjoy cooking vegetarian meals, listening to people’s life journeys, and being a respectful, helpful guest or host. Couchsurfing for me is not just about a free stay — it’s about friendship, trust, cultural exchange, and lifelong memories. I value kindness, honesty, and the magic of unexpected connections. Whether we’re sharing travel stories or just a quiet meal together, I’ll always respect your space, time, and culture. Место, которое изменило меня больше всего, — это...
The place I traveled to that changed me the most was Varanasi and Patna—especially my experience with Vipassana meditation. Varanasi taught me about life in its rawest and most spiritual form—where chaos and peace exist together. It made me reflect deeply on life, death, and purpose. Patna, on the other hand, gave me one of the most transformative experiences through Vipassana meditation. Living in silence, observing my thoughts, and understanding myself without distractions completely shifted my perspective. I came back with a calmer mind, better self-awareness, and a deeper sense of inner peace. It’s something that still influences how I think, react, and live every day.
Одна вещь, которую я узнал(а) в путешествии и привёз(ла) домой — это...
One thing I learned from traveling that I brought home with me is the ability to connect with people beyond language, culture, or background. When you step out of your comfort zone, you realize that kindness, respect, and genuine curiosity are universal. Travel taught me to be more open-minded, to listen more than I speak, and to appreciate the little things—like sharing a meal, a story, or even a smile with a stranger.
Одна тема, о которой я могу говорить часами, — это...
One topic that I can talk about for hours is Indian history. From ancient civilizations and empires to the freedom struggle and modern India, I’m deeply fascinated by how our past has shaped who we are today. I enjoy discussing everything—from the philosophies of ancient India to the stories of brave warriors, political strategies, and untold narratives that aren’t always in textbooks. For me, it’s not just history, it’s a collection of lessons, perspectives, and stories that still influence our present and future. If you enjoy meaningful conversations, I can probably keep us talking all night on this topic!
Я больше всего благодарен за...
I’m most grateful for the people and experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. From the support of my family and close friends to the strangers I’ve met while traveling, every connection has taught me something valuable. I’m also grateful for the opportunities to explore new places, learn different perspectives, and grow through both good and challenging moments. Life hasn’t always been perfect, but those ups and downs have made me stronger, more understanding, and more appreciative of the little things.
Одно место, которое каждый должен посетить хотя бы раз, — это...
One place everyone should visit at some point is Varanasi. It’s not just a city, it’s an experience that stays with you forever. The energy of the ghats, the spirituality in the air, and the way life and death exist side by side make you reflect deeply about existence itself. Whether it’s witnessing the Ganga Aarti, walking through the narrow गलियाँ, or simply sitting by the river, Varanasi has a way of slowing you down and making you more aware. It may not be comfortable or easy for everyone, but it will definitely change the way you see life.
Почему я на Couchsurfing
I believe travel is not just about places—it's about people, stories, and shared moments. I'm on Couchsurfing to connect with kind-hearted souls from around the world, to learn from different cultures, and to experience the world not just as a tourist, but as a human being. As a solo traveler from India, I find joy in deep conversations, sharing food, laughter, and listening to the unique life journeys of others. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to build friendships beyond borders and grow through real, raw, and meaningful interactions. Whether I’m hosting or surfing, I carry the spirit of respect, gratitude, and curiosity. Every home I stay in or welcome someone to becomes a small piece of a global family I feel proud to be a part of.

Одно удивительное, что я сделал
One of the most amazing things I’ve done is traveling solo across different cities in India with just a backpack and an open heart. I had no fixed plans—just the desire to meet people, listen to their stories, and live like a local wherever I went. I stayed with strangers who became friends, shared food and laughter with families I had just met, and experienced the kindness of humanity in its purest form. That journey taught me that the world is full of good people and that real connections often come from the most unexpected places. It changed the way I see life, travel, and relationships. And it’s one of the reasons I love Couchsurfing—because it brings that same spirit of trust, curiosity, and human connection.
