Hi! American software engineer living in the Netherlands since 2018. I'm an introvert but love deep authentic conversations with others, especially those from very different cultures. I like connecting with locals, trying to get a feel of the "spirit" of a place rather than looking to the touristy highlights or luxuries, and exploring on foot or by bike (not car) when I'm in a new place. Почему я на Couchsurfing
- when I'm traveling, I'd like to stay in a real home and connect with locals and get a feel for what their life is like. I don't want to stay in a posh touristy rental. - when I'm not traveling, I'd love to meet new faces and hear stories from travelers in Nederland - It helps me get a fresh perspective on my life and my environment, and shake up my (rather simple) routine.
