Hi! American software engineer living in the Netherlands since 2018. I'm an introvert but love deep authentic conversations with others, especially those from very different cultures. I like connecting with locals, trying to get a feel of the "spirit" of a place rather than looking to the touristy highlights or luxuries, and exploring on foot or by bike (not car) when I'm in a new place. Looking forward to hearing about your life! I don't smoke, don't drink, and don't talk about Fight Club.

Почему я на Couchsurfing
- when I'm traveling, I'd like to stay in a real home and connect with locals and get a feel for what their life is like. I don't want to stay in a posh touristy rental. - when I'm not traveling, I'd love to meet new faces and hear stories from travelers in Nederland - It helps me get a fresh perspective on my life and my environment, and shake up my (rather simple) routine.
Музыка, кино и книги
- The Way Forward (Pueblo) - Integral Psychology (Wilber) - Godel Escher Bach (Hofstader) - Astral Codex Ten (blog on science & rationality) - Dune (Herbert) - The Witcher (the books, not the show) - Another Self (netflix)
Одно удивительное, что я сделал
Cave kayaking in Lerici (near Cinque Terre Italy) is the most incredible thing that comes to mind right now.
Учить, учиться, делиться
Hmmm well I'm always delighted when I can help someone else learn/practice something, I have a knack for teaching although I've never done it professionally. If you want to improve your English / Spanish / Dutch, or if you're curious to get into the web development world, let me know! I'd love to connect.
Что я могу предложить хостам
A simple but nice guest room, a quiet spacious home, 4km bikeride from Deventer train station (or 1km walk from Colmschate station), my spare bike, and I'd be glad to show you around the city & countryside for a bit!
