Hello, Moi, Hola, Bonjour, Cześć, Ahoy, Namaste! I am easy going, fun loving guy with a positive outlook towards life. I am a cancer researcher professionally and my hobbies include biking, hiking, photography, collecting coins, reading science fiction, watching documentaries, series, movies and cooking . But the best hobby of mine is to travel. I love traveling and meeting new people, learning about their culture, cuisine and language. I like cooking too and when I host someone or am being hosted, I like to offer them some home-cooked typical Indian food. I am originally from India (land of rich cultural heritage) and lived in Boston, USA for 4 years, Cambridge, UK for 3 years and Turku, Finland for almost 8 years. I also traveled to Iceland, France, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Switzerland and Netherlands. Living in 3 different continents and meeting people from different cultures has imbibed an international outlook in me and I do not discriminate/judge people based on their race, religion, sexual orientation or their appearance etc. We Indians believe in two concepts very strongly 1. अतिथिदेवो भव (Athithi devo bhava) which translates to "The guest is equivalent to a god" and 2. वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ( Vasudaiva Kutumbhakam) which translates to "The entire world is one large family" So I try my best to make sure my guests are comfortable and feel at home. Hi! I’m from Taiwan and currently studying for my master’s degree in Finland. I enjoy playing the piano, reading novels, staying active, and spending time with friends. Couchsurfing has given me so many amazing memories, and I’m excited to keep meeting new people and creating meaningful experiences. I’m generally easy-going, kind, and respectful. I can be a bit introverted when I first meet new people—so if I’m quiet at the beginning, I’m probably just taking time to adapt. Most of the time, I’m a good listener and love meaningful conversations once I feel comfortable. I don’t have many rules—just try to be responsible, considerate, and open-minded. Hi! I'm a 33-year old registered nurse from Finland. I live in Turku and I have two children, a 4 year old boy and a baby. I love travelling and I still travel with my kids. We recently travelled for 6 months overlanding South America from Brazil to Colombia. My son was 2 at the time. So definitely travelling doesn't have to stop when you get kids! 😉 My favorite place so far has been the rural parts of Africa. Africa changed my worldview and the values of my life. It really makes me think how come the resources of the world don't divide equally between everyone. I think everyone deserves to have the same qualitative lives. I love spending time with people and learning about new cultures. I think the best way to see a country and learn about it is to stay with the locals.

Suomi is my second homeland and quite the contrast of my home country but I’m enjoying and living it to the fullest.
