I have orbited around Sun fifty-eight times! My work has made me travel to dozens of countries. After working with the corporate sector for a number of years (last assignment was senior position with a European company), I shifted to Haridwar on the banks of Ganges and foothills of Himalayas in northern India. Together with Rishikesh, Haridwar is considered to be the Yoga capital of the world. Rishikesh is about 25 km from Haridwar. The locality that we live in has its own Ghaat (steps abutting the river for ceremonial dips/bathing) on the river. I will try posting pictures. With fellow couch surfers, I want to experience and document, via pictures and writing stories on the following in Haridwar- 1. Old abandoned buildings 2. Bathing ghaats 3. Old Dharamshaalas 4. Old Ashrams 5. Other architectural features. If you are making a request to stay then please write clear sentences.
