I’m not here to make online friends that I’ll never get to meet. Thanks for understanding!***** Updated: August 3, 2026 Traveled around Asia for 7 months in 2025. Visited 🇰🇷🇨🇳🇲🇳🇰🇬🇺🇿🇹🇯🇰🇿🇳🇵🇮🇳🇹🇭 Had a motorbike accident in Pai, Thailand, and broke my wrist 🤕 Went back home 🇯🇵 to recover in January. Now fully recovered and back on my world trip! 🌏✈️ Updated: June 16, 2025 Hello, my future hosts! 😊 I’m a fun and curious female backpacker from Nara, Japan. I’m currently traveling around the world by myself from June 2025 🌍✈️ I started using Couchsurfing while I was in Australia, where I lived for two years. I also spent 15 months living in New Zealand. Traveling is my biggest passion 💓 I love discovering new places, learning about different cultures, trying new food (another big passion 😋), and most importantly, meeting new people! I’ve hosted several Couchsurfers in my hometown, Kashihara. I always tried my best to show them the beauty of Japan. I truly believe Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to experience the daily life of locals and to see the world from new perspectives. I’ve been lucky to have deep connections with some amazing people through this app and for me, that’s the best part of Couchsurfing. From 2019 to 2025, I worked as an English teacher at an elementary school in Japan. 👩🏫 I love interacting with people of all ages and getting inspired by their stories and experiences. Although I enjoyed my job, I decided to leave it to follow my dream of traveling the world. I’d describe myself as polite, friendly, clean, and easygoing. I completely respect my hosts’ privacy and space when staying at their place. I’d love to hang out if you have time, but I’m also totally fine exploring on my own. Either way, I hope we can share some quality time together 😊 Some of the things I love: 🏃♀️ Sports ( I run marathon every year ) ⛰ Hiking 🏖 Beaches 🏄♀️ Paddle Boarding ( want to learn surfing ) 🚲 Cycling 🎬 Movies ( except horror 👻) 🍱 Food ☕ Coffee ( addicted 😅) 🎶 Music 🌍 Languages ( I speak English and Korean as my second language 🇬🇧🇰🇷 Would love to learn Spanish, too! 🇪🇸) If you like any of these, we already have something in common! Thanks to my travels, I’ve met so many incredible people from all over the world, and I can’t wait to meet more during my journey. Thanks for reading my profile😊 I’m looking forward to meeting you all🫶 https://www.facebook.com/kaya.hashimoto.3

Hi,dear Couchsurfers! I'm Koki, from Japan. I often travel around the world. I work in Japan, save money then leave for traveling. I've been doing this life style for almost 10years. On my traveling, I met a lot of good guys and I experienced awesome things with them. I like talking and sharing my traveling with other travelholics. I'm easygoing, openminded, and positiveminded. I'm so talkative, so if I talk about traveling, I can't stop talking till morning maybe haha. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to meet other Couchsurfes. Have a good experience together! Cheers!
Please make sure to read my “My Home” section before sending me a message. -------------------------------------------------- I’m a curious person. I love traveling because it allows me to experience cultures, history, cityscapes, and nature that are different from my own country. I also enjoy thinking about how cultures are formed and exploring those differences. In particular, I love modern architecture, design, art, and good food!
I have had some bad experience in couchsurfing. Two guys have come in 2017. The guy from Puerto Rico and Spain. Alvaro de Arco and Diego Acosta. Especially Alvaro de arco is very authoritive. He behaves like he is the owner at my place. These two have asked me to give some drinks and food. I am not their servant. Especially the guys from Puerto Rico and Spain were the most disgusting ones. These two walk outside on barefoot. They were asking all the time some drinks and foods. They asked me whether or not I have tried some pot. I have never used any drugs in my life. They are taking care of marijuana in Malaysia. That is what they told me. The main purpose of Couchsurfing is for helping the travelers so that they can travel smooth and enjoy. And there is another thing. If some couch surfer have some bad reviews, those make me wonder whether or not I can host those people at my place. Nobody is perfect for sure. Basic rules to be followed at my place : never sleep with nothing on : take a shower before going to sleep at night : please keep yourself clean. And there is one more thing. My place has a steep stairs,so if you travel with kids , please don’t send me any requests to stay coz there is no guarantee for the safety. I don’t want to see any kids fall from the second floor. Please understand. I am not a VEGETARIAN nor VEGAN. So if you are a vegan, it is better to find some other hosts coz I eat meats and fishes as well. And if you are a vegetarian, but eat the marine products such as fish or shell fish, that is ok with me. But It is difficult to host a vegan. I respect and understand the concept of a VEGAN, but that is not me. CURRENT MISSION The world would be able to be much beautiful and funny when we all mutually are bounded. In order to make our lives much worthwhile enjoying, the couch surfing is the key. I would like to exchange the culture difference and language exchange. ABOUT ME I am a Japanese male who has even living and working in Osaka Japan. I used to study and live and work in Canada. Now I am back in here and working as a tour guide. In terms of the foreign languages , I have studied English ,Spanish as well. Before I studied ancient Greek, but I forgot most of it. According to my family tree. My family name is related to Musahi Miyamoto. Because his mother maiden name is Toyofuku. The village where my folks are now is famous for this musashi. This is something I did not know very well.
