CANโT HOST IN BEIJING UNTIL Oct. 2026 coz Iโm traveling myself, Iโm sorry but if I get a request for any dates before that, then I know you didnโt read my profile and I donโt want to waste my time to reply you. Born and raised in Beijing, studied marine science in Australia and now Coastal science and policy at Santa Cruz, U.S. Have worked for many ocean conservation NGOs in China and other countries. Focusing on studying the impact of industrial fisheries on local communities in West Africa. Trying to live more sustainably ;) following 3R principles. Enjoy working out in the gym or jogging/hiking at new places. Love the oceans, always down to scuba diving or snorkeling in different waters. Protect our oceans! Climate change is real!
Made in Germany, studied in France, worked and studied in China. Curious about anything 'China' (traveled every corner of the country). I never miss an opportunity to surf some couches when traveling! It's the salt of my travel soup! Couchsurfing reassures my faith in humanity (well, somewhat at least...). When I can't travel myself, I love hosting people. Drop me a line when you're in town ;) Always up for a beer/meal/hike!
Hello! Iโm an open-minded and friendly person, always excited to share my hometown, Beijing, with others. I enjoy introducing visitors to the local food and places that mean a lot to me, like Houhai and the city center. Youโre welcome to stay at my place, and Iโll be happy to offer you some traditional Beijing dishesโeither cooked by my family or myself, depending on whatโs convenient at the time. I spent 90 days Couchsurfing in Europe, which was a truly memorable experience, and I met some amazing people. I hope we can have some cultural exchanges during your stay and enjoy exploring the city together. I grew up in Beijing and have witnessed the cityโs transformationโits chaos, warmth, orderliness, and coldness. From living in the hutongs as a child, I watched it step by step grow into a massive metropolis. I have a deep understanding of local culture and am passionate about sharing it with anyone unfamiliar with it. I love my hometown. Iโm familiar with the underground culture, subcultures, queer communities, and all the underground clubs in both Beijing and Shanghai. If youโre curious, we can explore them together. I also love exploring food, and Iโve been indulging in all kinds of cuisines across Europe. Iโm very open to trying dishes from all over the world.
I do not accept last minute or low effort requests. If you are like that, let me refer you to booking.com. People from other countries describe me as a typical Dutch guy, both in manners (directness) as in physical appearance (tall and blonde). I am polite and usually calm, but perhaps a bit reserved.

Hello friends! Iโm Lula ,welcome to Qingdao . I love traveling and Iโve been to different countries, hope can make new friends here ,I absolutely love hosting Couchsurfersโthereโs nothing like sharing my cityโs little joys with someone new. Youโll have a cozy room๏ผand full access to the kitchen for snacks or quick meals. Hereโs a little thought: I love to keep a little piece of every guestโs journey with me. If youโd like, you could bring something small from your hometown, or even cook a simple meal together โ these little touches help me remember our wonderful time together. This is completely optional and no pressure at all. Iโll also be happy to share something nice with you in return, depending on the occasion! If you are a host, and especially if you are willing to host me back please message me . I would be pleased to support you in your journey and meet you in your home country sometime as well. I always happy to open our home to couchsurfers for a couple/few days, if you are wanting to extend to a longer stay (like 1 week plus), weโd discuss a reasonable contribution. Iโll happily guide you to hidden coffee shops, the best street food stalls, or even join you for a casual walk to the park. Just let me know your arrival time, and feel free to make yourself at home. I'm a 29-year-old who's traveled to 36 countries and lived in 3 - all numbers counting. Can be summarized by a line from "Chicago" - a real artistic guy, sensitive, a painter, was always trying to find himself. My friend describes me as "intense, but secretly nice." I promote education empowerment through technology. Now a senior executive at a 800-person tech startup called ClassIn, where I lead its global expansion and AI product making. I hail from Peking University with a philosophy degree. A humanities student from an elitist institution - where you live in this bubble of having everything handed to you on a plate, so all you do is read books - tons of them - I don't have lots of impressive survival skills to offer. But I'm a pretty good conversationalist and always ready to learn about the spectacular life you have been living. I read and reply to 100% of the requests you send over. And unfortunately, then decline more than 90% of them. To check out some tips that I believed to be useful for successful request-writing, see below. SOME (UNVERIFIED) TIPS FOR WRITING SUCCESSFUL CS REQUESTS - In your request, introduce yourself in more than 100 words, either in soothing, logically constructed sentences or in bullet points, so that it gives the host some quick details to assess compatibility. DO bother to set up a profile with enough specific content to humanize you, especially if your references aren't that many. Hosts are here with a giver mentality, but they just can't give to anyone. After all, until that fateful moment at the door when we welcome you to our space, we remain "online strangers" to each other. - In your request, state clearly why you would like to stay *with this host*, not *at this host's place*. Make at least one try at describing the host's interests, expertise, traveled places, hosting preferences, or career credentials, and say why it/they matter(s) to you. Nobody likes to be dehumanized down to the same level as their residential building. - Be polite and humble, as is a rule of life. One way to show this is to end your request not with a "Can you host me, question mark," but a "Thank you for your time, period." The phrasing is only a minor detail, but it sometimes has a major impact on the reader. Another is to clearly say you allow for flexibility on the host's part if your stay is more than 3 nights. - You definitely want to be upfront about everything that may be inconvenient to the host: carrying a lot of bags, needing to use washing machines, no internet upon arrival, late-night arrival, being sick, etc. Hosts are always down to help and super understanding of the mounting challenges facing travelers in their home cities, but they usually don't like surprises that take up much of their day. - If you intend to say you'll bring over something as a thank-you gesture, don't offer anything other than good company, light cooking or a small but adorable house gift. The host won't really remember you made that promise by the time of arrival, and they won't care at all if you did have it with you, but they would be really happy just reading that you had goodwill. HAVE FUN COUCHSURFING!
INFJ-Struggling perfectionist, simple adventurer, stubbornly fell for the art and science of life and growth. I love nature, healthy living, meaningful connections and learning new things. Couchsurfing magically connects them all and constantly reminds me of the beauty of sharing, gratitude, acceptance and co-creating - from daily life material to something not evaluated in daily material life. Lucky me having met so many amazing people and good friends here.
Hi, Iโm Ellen. Welcome to my home in Dali! Iโm currently enjoying a slower pace of life here in Dali. I live in a quiet two-bedroom apartment with my friendly Shiba Inu. There are no other family members living here, so youโll be sharing the home with just me and my dog. Why I Host The reason I host is quite simple: I have a spare room and some free time. I have something I can offer, and someone traveling happens to need it. But hosting also gives something back to me. Every guest brings a different life, culture, story, and way of seeing the world into my home. I enjoy the uncertainty of meeting someone newโyou never know what youโll talk about or what you might learn from each other. Sometimes, meeting someone very different from me also helps me see myself more clearly. In a way, my guests travel through the world, while I get to experience a little bit of the world without leaving home. A Little About Me I enjoy conversations about travel, culture, food, philosophy, and life. Recently, Iโve been learning about Buddhist teachings and reading the Diamond Sutra. I donโt follow any particular religion, but I find a lot of wisdom in Buddhist philosophy and try to bring some of it into my everyday life. Iโm also a slow traveler. I prefer local markets, neighborhood streets, small cafรฉs, and everyday life to rushing from one famous attraction to another. If our schedules match, Iโd be happy to show you a little of Dali, cook a simple Chinese meal together, have a cup of tea, or just sit and talk. And if you prefer exploring on your own, thatโs completely fine too. My Home & One Important Rule My home is in Xiaguan, Dali, about a 30-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. Youโll have your own bedroom and access to Wi-Fi, hot water, a washing machine, refrigerator, and kitchen. I have a very regular daily routine and usually go to bed early, so please be back home by 10:00 PM and keep things quiet after 10:30 PM. Please make sure this works for you before sending me a request. If you love dogs, my Shiba Inu will probably become your first friend here. If youโre allergic to dogs or uncomfortable around them, my home may not be the best fit. After reading my profile, if you feel like we might enjoy meeting each other, please include the word โcuriosityโ in your request. ๐ Safe travels, and maybe our paths will cross in Dali someday! โEllen
