I can meet but not host at the moment. ****** I am a London based photographer and love to travel. I have made many friends through this community and find it a unique way to meet people from other cultures. Before sending me a hosting request read my home info. No read = No host. My hosting experiences have been mostly positive. Made some life long friends; Joel, Justina, Michael & Jenny, Nicholas and several more. Met a few freeloaders too. Enjoy the journey, life is not a race, slow down, take a look around, put the bucket list and your mobile away. Be a participant, not a user. ****** London: https://www.timeout.com/london https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/London ****** London Hotels: https://www.yha.org.uk/places-to-stay/london https://zedwellhotels.com/capsule-cocoons/

❌ Can't host 🥲 ✅ Open to hangout on weekends 🇪🇸Soy principiante y lo estoy aprendiendo, podemos hablarlo? 🙃 🌊 WHO AM I? 🌏 A kind heart and generous spirit, open-minded, friendly, witty, nomadic soul, good listener, that enjoy conversations, is fun to hangout with and loves to meet new people and learn about their lives and way of living. 🌊 INTRO 🌏 I initially used CS while living in Milan, participating mostly to weekly local events and sometime even on surrounding areas. I also hosted for a short amount of time. I originally come from a small town in Sicily, CS give me the opportunity to meet people from different culture in a easier way, as introvert I'll hardly start a conversation, and I found so addictive. At some point I suddenly had to go back to my hometown and so I stop. Moving in London I had no chance to use it often due to adapting to the big city life and while I'm still not using as I would like to, heck if city life is busy, I try to go to events and hangouts on weekends, or once in while traveling somewhere that is not my hometown (as my parents are on their 70s, it happen often). 🌊 DESCRIPTION 🌏 I don't like to describe myself but here some guideline. - While at home I'll be probably learning some IT stuff. I'd like to play board or video games (even better if co-op or party, aka multiplayer) - While outside, I'd like to discover new places or spend evenings chilling with friends at pubs or a having some food, a good pizza is usually the best option (of course, I'm Italian!) but I also like to try new dishes/recipes :) Anyway I prefer let others discover me. So feel free to ask tons of questions, Try, I don't bite! :) [Wow somehow I wrote a lot] 🌊 CURRENT MISSION 🌏 Being more healthy and fit, searching for the meaning of life while relishing all its side effects. (No, I'm not drugs addicted 😅) 🌊 PHILOSOPHY 🌏 Life is now. Seize the moment. Make the most of your time. Every day without a smile is lost. Look up at the stars, not down at your feet. The quieter you become, then more you are able to hear. Everything You've Ever Wanted Is Sitting On The Other Side Of Fear. Years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
ABOUT ME: Life is a wonderful and bumpy learning journey for me, and I try to stay curious, grateful, informed, respectful and kind - tho I sometimes fail. I am passionate about community development and socio-environmental justice, and have been involved in this sector for a long time. I have ADHD, and it's been suggested I'm 51% extrovert. I love a bit of drama, but can't go without comedy. I am eager to know what makes you tick! CURRENT MISSION: slow down and rebuild regular healthy habits and choices into my days ❤🩹🏊♂️🧘🏽♀️🥾📝🍲🛌🧠🚲 PHILOSOPHY: I strive to see a positive side to every situation 🥃💡 Points to note before you contact me: 🎯 If you read my profile and want to meet up or be hosted, I thank you for choosing to connect with me. I love meeting people, tho I am pretty busy and might not be free. Please note, I will not respond to random messages from guys saying 'hi' or 'how are you?' kinda thing. 🎯If you want to be hosted… I’ll have ‘maybe host’ when im available for short notice requests. Please do not send requests weeks in advance tho, and please make it personal if you message me. Cheers. 🎯 Like most long-term CSers, this community has added a lot of value to my life over time. However, I can't be bothered with those who think this is a free hostel or a dating site. It may sound harsh, but life is busy, and one has to prioritise. C'est la vie. 🎯 Sadly many women are reporting sexual harassment and assaults from fellow CSrs. That is not to be tolerated - guys behave properly, girls please be extra vigilant, and everyone consider it as your responsibility to keep CS a safe community. Consent matters! Not saying no doesn’t mean yes!

Sorry not able to host at the moment. But happy to hang out in London. Welcome, fellow travelers! 🌎 I'm a passionate explorer with a diverse background and a deep love for connecting with people from all walks of life. Here are a few things that make me who I am: Baha'i Queer ENJT-A Judoka Polyglot PhD Math Data Scientist Work in Fintech/Green Energy Trading Speak 5+ languages fluently Never smoke, never drink alcohol Travel 70+ countries (lived in 10 of them) I am a well-traveled fella just like you. So I understand travelers. As a multicultural multilingual person, I tend to get so well with people from various backgrounds 🌈 For me, it can be tricky sometimes to describe where I am from. To summarize, I was born in China 🇨🇳 but I also considered myself as an "Iranian, Italian, latinos" 🇮🇷🇮🇹🇦🇷🇧🇷 since I have spent quite a few years in those places. I'm emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically connected to all those regions and part of them are within me already. Additionally, I am also an expert of Middle East and Latin America in general. I used CS a lot most for surfing when I was younger and much poorer, right now I'm just mainly hosting in London if I'm not traveling around. As a CouchSurfing host, I tend to provide a welcoming, clean and comfortable environment for travelers, respecting their preferences and ensuring a safe and enjoyable stay 😌 If you're seeking a vibrant, open-minded, and knowledgeable host: look no further. I'm excited to share stories, experiences, and unforgettable adventures with fellow travelers. One of the best highlights I can offer to my guest is an exclusive, personal, free private "tour" for you only in British Museum during weekends. If you are also a history, geography, politics, culture and archaeology lovers, then we are surely getting well on.
I'm from South Africa but lived in London (UK) from 2009 - 2023 where I practiced as an architect. I'm particularly interested in vernacular forms construction, natural building materials and sustainability and have undertaken personal research projects, including continued research on rock-hewn churches in Ethiopia (2015 - 2020). In my routine London life, I cycled daily and enjoyed going to exhibitions, architecture talks / events, live music, festivals (or a boogey) and socialising with friends in bars, cafes, parks etc... I've had a passion for travelling for as long as I can remember and enjoy spending time in nature / the outdoors whenever I get the chance. In June 2023 I left my London-based job(and life) and got a one-way flight to Cairo, Egypt. I've been travelling ever-since. I spent 8 months travelling the 'Middle East' and hitch-hiking through Arabia before returning to South America (I was here in 2020/11), where I've been for the past 2 years. I'm currently in Ecuador, living and loving every moment, and slowly making my way up to Mexico. Please note, I’m currently travelling South America and therefore unable to host.

UPDATE 2024! After travelling the world for a year in 2017, I have resettled in London and now accepting guests again! Come visit the beautiful Notting Hill CURRENT MISSION Upadating after 5 years of only hosting, I have finally quit my job to hit the trail! Completed 2 months in Shikoku Japan hiking Currently exploring Europe Then New Zealand for November to February. ABOUT ME I am from Ottawa, Canada, and have always been looking for a new adventures either in new places or inmy own city. I am very polite, considerate and talkative! I love to travel and meet people but I also love the simplicities of home: home cooked meals, playing sports with friends, bonfires, beach parties, and spending time with family. I am an avid back country camper, canoist and thru-hiker. I am most at home on a trail through a forest. I believe in the kindness of everyday people and the power of being positive. Not sweating the small stuff and enjoying what's on order in any moment. PHILOSOPHY I avoid negative people, and believe that 99.9% of people are truly nice and simply want a happy life.
A few words to summarise me: Introvert; academic; engineer; scientist; atheist; animal lover; third culture kid; eccentric; INTJ/INTP. Outgoing introvert who prefers deep conversations rather than small talk. Sometimes I can be very quiet, though I have an active mind. I enjoy moments of silence with others where I can just feel their energy, without feeling pressured to talk. I love to connect with people's authentic selves. I have a special connection with animals 🐾🐶🐱, and I also like nature 🌳 , science🔬, photography 📷, board games, bouldering (indoor climbing), nights out, nights in, long walks, documentaries, people-watching, unconventional minds, comfortable silence (this one is a big deal for me). I am somewhat eccentric! :D My ins: @wijm02 I am a third culture kid who grew up in London (and I still live there) but my origins are in Sri Lanka. I am not religious. I did my PhD at Imperial College London, and now I'm a software engineer. I also do some freelance pet sitting! When I do pet sitting, I often have to stay overnight with other people's pets! IMPORTANT NOTES: - My place is in Zone 3 and it is 30 minutes from central London (Zone 1). If you want to stay in the city centre, it will be difficult to find a host, but there are some reasonably priced hostels. - I am a pescatarian and not a meat eater. I'm the only one in my family who does not eat meat so you're welcome to eat meat in my home. - Couples/pairs: If you're part of a couple or pair, I will only host if both of you have active Couchsurfing profiles. Please send me your partner's/friend's profile. I will only host people who have a CS profile. - I do not sponsor visas. Last updated: May 2026
NO REQUESTS PLEASE. Couchsurfing have managed to entirely screw-up my account. I’m getting no notifications or access to the app. I would apologise - but that’s the company’s responsibility. Hosting at Brick Lane, Spitalfields/ Shoreditch, E1. PLEASE NOTE: I may be able to help at short notice, even if my calendar indicates I’m not available. Do message me anytime and check if I can help. That said - whilst being a host with couchsurfing is amazing, I do get many more requests to stay than I am able to say yes to; and so apologise in advance for any disappointments. Thank You I've been a 'couch-surfing' host for years, and in addition for fifteen years I've volunteered with the Nightstop service - where hosts offer a spare room to homeless young people. I have had over 200 homeless guys and girls come stay for one night or more. Profession wise - I'm onto my second career, as a public healthcare commissioner. I love meeting (and talking) with new people, and helping people out pleases me, so when I heard about this site I just had to join. I'm a British, professional gent offering a spare bedroom in my house to those coming to visit this amazing city that I am lucky enough to live in. I work the majority of my days from home, so I can definitely be around to welcome you to the city and my place, and to make sure you know where all you'll need is. I would also welcome any queries you have about the local area, or London more widely, and will help with whatever I can.
I'm a Syrian dentist based between London and Dubai. I am willing to host in both cities. I would prefer you to check my references rather than me telling you about myself. Free Palestine 🇵🇸 You can follow on Instagram https://instagram.com/eiad_zinah?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
