I’m at my best around good people, good conversations and plans that weren’t necessarily plans an hour ago. I work in international marketing, organise social events in Frankfurt, travel whenever I get the chance, and have a weakness for discovering great food, hidden bars and places with a story. Somewhere in between, there’s padel, badminton, hiking, cooking and an unreasonable amount of TV. I like people who are curious, funny and bring something of their world into a conversation. That’s probably why Couchsurfing appealed to me in the first place. Originally from Mumbai, living in Frankfurt. Still learning German. Progress remains under investigation.

Hey there! I'm Mauro, an Italian 28-years old researcher in theoretical physics. When I'm not trying to unravel the mysteries of the universe, I love traveling, either alone or with company, and meeting new people. I'm open-minded, always up for a good chat, and I think everyone has something to offer and teach me. I often prefer to see small places in the nature instead of big cities. I'm also part of the Scout movement, which over the years has provided opportunities to meet wonderful people and live in a fuller manner. I feel at home worldwide, and I see everybody as a sibling!

Update September 2025; I am active again and open to receive fellow Travelers. However, i am travelling for work on occasion, so i might sometimes take a few days to respond :) I am easy going, but also need my fair share of alone time. Especially in the mornings :) When visiting other cities, i like to be around locals and find out about some not-so-tourist things. Of course i still want to see all the "standard" tourist things but its not a proper travel experience if you dont experience it with locals. In my spare time, i like to read books and just enjoy life, which usually means eating good food, which again means, that being active is increasingly more difficult :) I can definitely show you my favorite bars and foot spots around the area.
