In summer 2015, I traveled to Cambodia, Vietnam and South Korea and did lots of couchsurfing in there. It was the best thing that happened to me while traveling because of all the friendly and amazing people I met. Nowadays, the people you meet in a trip is soooo important for me. It changed my way of traveling. However, having used this platform couple of hundred times, I can say there are a lot of great people but I also got quite a few bad experiences. Thats one of the reason why im on here, to make sure you dont get unreliable sketchy people that dont care about you; and just have the most enjoyable trip all in all. Lets go road trips! Adventures and random shit! Studied business and other stuff, hated it, switched to Geology because I absolutely love being outdoor and anything related to the Earth's phenomenas. Then developped an interest in environment and sustainability, in which I completed a master. I do enjoy learning about green cities and urbanism, vintage pictures and old maps, redevelopment of neighbourhoods, social and environmental issues in the place where i'm/youre living. I'm pretty easygoing and respectful, but im also crazy and outgoing sometimes hehe. An extroverted introverted. I love urban exploration, like coffee shops, people watching and small details in differents neighborhoods but I have to say I'm more of an outdoor guy. I have a passion for road trips, which for me, is not just some travel in a car, but the most epic part of the trip, so I love to bring people around Northeast america and my province. Be it an epic microbrewery (craft beer is life) to chill out in Montreal or an isolated wild camping spot. *** Lets make something clear..... I enjoy showing people around because couchsurfing is not just about receiving, give back to people. But dont take it for granted, I also have things to do. I can tell you some stories in person about that ;) So dont be an annoying *!^$*!^ that doesn't care about the host.

It changed my life seeing how differently people can live while still being happy. Many people told me I would be kidnapped or killed if I worked in a favela. In reality, it was a very pleasant experience. My experience in Brazil inspired me to travel to all parts of the world that everyone is too afraid to go to, and to develop my own opinions of every culture. Being raised in a Western country, we are raised to believe that our way is always the right way and that we must "save the world". In reality, we need saving as much as everyone else. I'm a pretty relaxed guest and host. I'm not the type of person who needs to be out all day doing stuff. Part of travelling also involves hanging out with locals and seeing how they live while also seeing the sights. However, these are my dealbreakers: 1. Anti-vax people stay away. 2. I'm part of the LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 If you have a problem with that, please don't host or stay with me. 3. I'm not okay with pitbulls or other dangerous dogs. Other types of dogs are fine though! 4. If you're a fan of Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson or Andrew Tate, we probably won't get along. 5. No Zionists. I don't care if you treat me like a king. I just moved to Spain in 2020 with work/residency permit. I lived in Montreal before for 9 years. I am looking to establish myself in Andalusia and find remote work. COVID I act very "covid concious." I follow the higene rules very well and I don't get together unless outdoors and rarely. I'm very aware of what I touch and I travel by car alone. I'm crossing municipalities but in order to find a place to live! I want to stay with people who are also very careful as I can't afford to get sick... I naturally love traveling and integrating with local people to learn about their ways of living. I avoid making assumptions of what people's personalities or lives could be like based on the country they're from; I like to meet them better individually. What makes you who you are, are your experiences, your philosophy of life, and willingness to learn, not the place where you come from. I'm easy going when it comes to understanding reasons of being. That is, I believe that there are always reasons behind a person's personality or actions (religion, cultural and political system, family, etc.) that can be understood. I'm accommodating to different situations. I can hang out with different types of people, and have a good time, although I prefer easy going ones, the ones who like to have fun, chat, laugh a lot, move the body, have adventures and take risks. I enjoy being with older people too, they tell a lot in a few words.

I'm a queer and poly Canadian fellow. I love to explore and see all the beauty the world has to offer. I'm a freelance translator, so I work from home. I nprefer if guests go explore during the day so I can work. Evening are usually free to go out and do stuff. Also, I have a bike you can borrow. I'm all about food, I always have way too much stocked up and I'll gladly feed you delicious stuff at my place. Please however note I now dumpster-dive for most of my food, which means I have a lot of it to share! Please have a couple of pictures so I know who I'm talking to. I usually only host, as I don't like moving every few days when traveling, but I'm very grateful for the few Couchsurfers that were able to host be when my travel plans derailed a bit.
