ABOUT ME As the cliché goes it is the most difficult thing to describe your self bla bla. I don't really like difficult things so I skip this part. Let's say I'm okay. PHILOSOPHY Enjoy every second and don't worry too much for things that you cannot control.

I'm an easy going guy who is easily seduced by the beauty of something new. After moving to Bulgaria (planned for 6 months), I lost my heart to the picturesque town of Veliko Tarnovo, where I'm currently living for over 10 years. I like to have fun, but also like my peace every once in a while, which is why I can't accept every request sent to me (summers are crazy in this town). I like cooking, but I'm still an amateur, and it doesn't happen that often. You won't easily find me in a disco, but much rather in front of a stage. In September 2019 I moved with my beautiful Indian wife to our new house, about 12 km from Veliko Tarnovo. The place has regular public transport to and from VT during the day, and the house offers so much more than what I could offer in my apartment in the past (including table tennis, and a bigger kitchen for more and better food from all over the world). In 2025 we were blessed with a little girl. Laila is the 4th member of our family (after Burphy the dog) and loves meeting new people to play with. CURRENT MISSION Discover the world ABOUT ME I have a little dog and hosting people is not easy but still possible. First of all if you don't like dogs or you have alergy to fur better don't send me a request. Then we need to meet first outside the appartment and have a little walk with the dog so she can be comfortable when you are at home. Also need to keep some staff away from her but I can tell about when we meet. Most important is that everyone need to feel comfortable. I'd like to help people to discover my town and my country. I like the time spend with my guest and for me couchsurfing is much more than a cheap accommodation. I also love hikink in the mountains and like to shere the expirience about.

I’m Eli - a curious soul from Bulgaria, traveling the world on a tight budget and a big dose of enthusiasm. I move slowly, stopping here and there to work a little, learn a lot, and keep the journey going. For me, travel is an ongoing experiment in living simply and discovering what really matters. I spent about 20 years working as a graphic designer, prepress specialist, and photographer. These days, I’ve added new skills to my toolkit: I’m a certified massage therapist and a seasoned housekeeper (cleaning tends to be the easiest short-term job to find on the road). I once had a “normal life”, whatever that means - but eventually, I felt the urge for a big change. And the answer came in the most unexpected way (I might share that story if we meet!). One of my favorite chapters so far: learning to ride a motorbike at 42. It was pure fun! I’ve since let go of the dream to travel on two wheels - for now, at least - but the spirit of adventure is still riding with me.
