Once again trying to escape the USA. Arrived in Mauritius September 2025, wound up in a shared home in Goodlands. My landlords had a fit about my having friends over one day; so, looks like hospitality will have to wait till I get my own place. But happy to meet any other immigrants, travelers and locals using this site! So far Mauritius is proving to be a much tougher nut to crack than Egypt was. I am an anthropology student at Bologna universtity. I am from Turin but my home is Bologna and my feet. At 16 I left Italy to go for one year in Thailand as an exchange student hosted by a family and this changed my life. I have always been and independent girl, a little bit stubborn sometimes, but with an enterprising spirit. I love travelling, photographing, dancing and writing poems and I hope I will be able to do something meaningful in my life with these passions. I am very friendly, curious and down-to-earth. Hey everyone! In short I'm a just a regular Gen-Y guy with a pretty mixed up (or should I say messed up!) background. Basically I'm of Indian origin, Born and bred in Hong Kong, Married to a Mauritian, recently moved to Mauritius. I have twin boys who are one level further basically one speaks French and the other speaks english.. but I guess this is the world today? I am crazy about meeting travelers and locals just to talk about the world, economics, technology, globalization. I hope to start Hosting soon now that we have space in Mauritius. Cheers
