Hi, I'm Stefan from Germany. Much of the year I am based in central Portugal, where I'm living off-grid in a quiet valley, restoring an old schist stone ruin. The vision is to plant a lot of fruiting and edible plants implementing permaculture principles, and to create a space for art and quiet reflection where anyone who needs a break from traveling or life in general can stay for a bit. But nothing commercial. When my profile is set on accepting guests, I'm visiting my mom's place near Bad Schandau in Germany for a while and you're welcome to stay on our couch there. (But please go outside to smoke, if you have to.) Sometimes my wife and I might be staying in the small town of Schmiedeberg in a garden house. It is 1-2 hours away and I doubt anyone wants to travel and stay there, but there would be a couch as well. And if at some point you find yourself in central Portugal and won't mind the still very simple circumstances, you're welcome there as well! Currently I'm working on a book about fruiting plants from all over the world. The idea is to present all necessary information (such as growing requirements) in a way that's easy to digest, together with interesting facts and of course lots of photos. Many of my travels these days are in order to find some of the plants and fruits on my list.

We are a married couple living in Děčín. We enjoy meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and sharing stories from around the world. From time to time, when we can, we’re happy to host travelers and offer them a place to stay. OUR HOME We do not live in Prague but in Děčín, an hour away from Prague by highway. Ideal if you come from the north or if you don't mind commuting to Prague. There is a very good connection. KATE Lover of dogs, singing, musical instruments and books. Energetic and sometimes a little crazy. THOMAS Lover of the sun, sea, new places and people, but also tea houses and good tea. A hobby photographer and a calm person. A beginner in English will be happy to practice English together over a glass of wine. THEO One year old Australian Shepherd. He lives with us in our apartment and travels with us. He is very friendly with people and other dogs. He has made some new dog friends on his travels. We are a couple with an open mind, we like to enjoy life without stupid conservative rules in relationships.
