CURRENT MISSION Happiness is not a goal. It's a lifestyle (Burton Hills) ABOUT ME Hi there! This is Guido from Salo', very nice town in the west coast of Lake of Garda, between Milan and Venice, in the north of Italy. I'm happy, open-minded, curious and eager to know other people and spend my time with them. I'm working in social services, but I would like travel as soon is possible (at now I visited 72 country on the world in 209 trips) and I like very much to meet people living in different countries. If you are planning a trip in my area, write my and I'll be happy to host you! Ciao! Guido IF YOU HOST ME: If you are so kind and decide to host me know that: - I will read in advance your profile many times and so will know what bothers you and what doesn't, so I will do my best to avoid the things that you dislike. - I will adapt myself to your lifestyle. - I will leave home with you if you ask me to and come back at the time you want to. - I can help you to do anything (work home, cleaning home, helping in something). - I will be glad to cook for you some italian kind of pasta (always if you want to). - I will clean bathroom after use and respect any rule you may have. - And of course i will thank you! PHILOSOPHY Happiness is not a goal. It's a lifestyle! HOSPITALITY Xenia (ξενία), hospitality, was an extremely important practice in Ancient Greece. It was an almost ritualized friendship formed between a host and his guest, who could previously have been strangers. The host fed and provided quarters for the guest, who was expected to repay only with gratitude. The importance of this can be seen throughout Greek mythology, in particular Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. For Jacques Derrida (French philosopher died in 2004), the foundation of ethics is hospitality, the readiness and the inclination to welcome the Other into one's home. Ethics, he claims, is hospitality. Pure, unconditional hospitality is a desire that underscores the conditional hospitality necessary in our relationships with others.
Hi! I’m new to this app and would love to host interesting people traveling in the Lake Garda area. I hope to make new friendships and—who knows—maybe get hosted myself in the future! It’s a welcoming home with a private room, a living room with a sofa, and a large bedroom. I’m also available as a local tour guide! 🤝🤗
CURRENT MISSION Growing people in a social farm nearby... learn, share, love and spread happiness ABOUT ME I think I'm simply a curious guy always looking for... something... I would say good vibes. I like the idea that I change every day, according to the people I meet, the books I read, the experiences I do... the... You got it... Somehow I got a bachelor's degree in sociology, and then an other couple of master degrees... I got one of those in Sweden studying as an exchange student within the Erasmus programme... Happy days in Malmö! Never to be forgotten. Then I took all my degrees and i stored them in a drawer... then i started to travel. The journey was the best teacher ever! At one point I decided to settle here in Valsugana and start with some friends a social farming project, but the (inner) journey of course is still going on. Thanks to couchsurfing at one point I met on my path a lovely israeli girl, and now we live together here. As the majority of the sociologists, I'm interested in people and human facts. I love to observe, to discover, to interact with people. People help me in finding new questions and (sometimes) answers as well... PHILOSOPHY I simply think my life is exactly what I want it to be... and sometimes, thanks to the people around me, it is even better! For those who can wonder... wonder appear.

Viaggiare mi permette di staccare e non pensare ad altro. Le esperienze che mi hanno cambiato solo state il cammino di Santiago e la via degli Dei.
Hello, I'm 27 and I'm planning to travel in Spain, Morocco and maybe other Mediterranean countries starting from September. I'm here to make my plan more concrete, by getting in touch with other travellers and hosts. I'm looking for adventure and human connections, according to a simple, eco-friendly and somewhat ascetic lifestyle. I always carry my guitar with me!
Hi! I'm Francesco from Verona, Italy 🇮🇹 Yes, the city of Romeo and Juliet... but there's much more to discover here 😉 I use Couchsurfing because I believe the best memories come from the people you meet, not just the places you visit. I'm easy-going, curious and always up for a spontaneous adventure. I enjoy hiking, exploring new places, going for an aperitivo, listening to music, working out and having conversations that go beyond the usual "Where are you from?". Music is a big part of my life and I'm also passionate about psychology, philosophy and learning how people see the world. If you're visiting Verona, I'd be happy to recommend local spots, show you around when I can, grab a coffee or a drink, or join you for a hike around Lake Garda. I appreciate open-minded, respectful people with a good sense of humour. Whether we meet for an hour or spend a whole day exploring, I hope we'll both end up with a great story to tell. Feel free to send me a message and if I don't see it, try IG: @framazzi93. Looking forward to meeting you! 😊
