An investment into the future of humanity. It should not be a billion dollar industry called tourism. Hosting in Couchsurfing can also be considered an act of rebellion against tourism. Everyone's mouth these days is full of environmental protection.. what if we look at the environmental impact of tourism.. can it be safe to say that by hosting / using couchsurfing we would use more existing resources (hosting someone in an an existing apartment) and build less tourism dedicated resources, we are actually reducing the environmental impact, thus helping the planet? Are you a traveller or a tourist? I consider myself a citizen of the world. IT guy, but not stereotypical. I like art, cinema in the first place but also theater and books. I was born in Belarus, but since 2023 I have been living in Croatia. I like to leave my comfort zone, feel the unknown, look at the horizon and strive for it. My father devoted his whole life to work, collecting money, overgrown with material goods. now he is retired, he is not happy, he still only knows how to work, and he does not know how to entertain himself, he does not have a hobby. I see it, and I don't want to repeat after him. that's why I love to travel. I think about travel more than about work)) I'm 35, I'm from Belarus. I have two educations that have not been useful to me so far. I am interested in human psychology, relationships between people, as a hobby I rarely drink alcohol. I do not smoke. I love cycling, spending the night in a tent, and hiking in the mountains.I was on the Polish mountain Rysy (2499) and the Austrian Hochkönig (2941). 2024 November, I visited the peak of the volcano Teide (3718) I dream to climb Elbrus and travel around the world, I think I will achieve this!)
