Who I am? I'm Roberto, a simple travel blogger, I decided to travel a few years ago, starting my first real backpacking trip in Nicaragua in August 2014, it was awesome, so I decided to travel all Central America in December 2014 to February 2015, then I was so excited to go to Colombia in July-August 2015 and my first biggest trip was from El Salvador to Chile by bus (just Panama to Colombia by plane) from December 2015 to February 2016. One of my biggest dreams was to create a travel blog, I started my first project in March 2016 with two more, traveling around El Salvador and then again from El Salvador to Chile and Argentina, I started in September 2016 and finish in Guatemala in January 2017, the last weekend of my trip, so excited to climb Acatenango's Volcano in Guatemala, the news said: Freezing volcano blast kills six climbers in temperature plunge, and I was there, the salvadoran survivor, really sad story, but I survived. I returned to El Salvador and finish my first travel blog and I decided to start a new project by myself, so: ROBERTO WAS HERE, it was my own project, because I'm so lucky... Sponsors contacted me, and I started to travel everywhere that I want, so 2017 for me was one of the best years in my life. One of the best things in 2017, El Salvador Travel (Ministry of Tourism in El Salvador) they named me the official TRAVELER of El Salvador. After this I decided to travel some caribbean beaches in Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico in December 2017 to February 2018. In 2018 El Salvador Brand Country contacted me to be one of the official bloggers, so I'm the official Blogger of El Salvador Brand Country. More sponsors and more trips, 2018 was one of my favorites, I visited Mexico 3 times, Honduras and Guatemala (A thousand times), Colombia, Belize, Costa Rica and Panama. In 2019 been in Mexico and Roatan Island to many times, still the official TRAVELER from El Salvador, and I visited all Central America (backpacking for New Years). In 2020 before COVID-19 in “America”, I was traveling in Mexico in Veracruz, I came 1 week before the government close the borders and airport. In 2021 fu#% COVID-19, I been in Colombia, then I traveled around El Salvador and Honduras for New Years (still the official traveler from El Salvador). In 2022 it was the year that I rediscovered the world, been in the Amazonas, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Colombia and more… In 2023 I traveled in Europe for the first time. So I'm enjoying the life, taking risks, traveling to meet people Coming from El Salvador, Central America, meeting new people and trying to have as much fun as possible. Making travel plans every night, trying to take over the world, and waking up in the morning to realize I'm still in bed and sleepy. As a general rule, the wrong choices bring us to the right places. - January 2025 UPDATE : Back in France after my world cyling tour, hosting again - You don't know what to write with such a question, uuuh :-( !? Me neither, not my thing ! In few words, let say I'm like most travelers in mind on Couchsurfing: I wanna travel all the times, I can't be be happy If I don't follow what make me dream. If you don't mind I'll won't tell my life here, better to talk in person! PLEASE NOTE : I used to be very active on Couchsurfing but I host seldom currently. But I prefer to host more than just overnight, except if you are in emergency need of a couch ;-) I prefer to spent meaningful time with my guests, I'm usually quite busy all weeks long, but I can give you plenty tips to see in this small town and around. I've also cycled and hiked many places across the country and abroad, and can give tips to prepare your trip, from a road-trip to the most daring expedition. Cyclists welcomed!

I'm a very respectful person who loves to host travelers and show them around my country. I enjoy welcoming tourists and helping them discover every corner of the world, especially my country. Although I don't have a large or very comfortable space, I can host one or two people. My place is centrally located in the capital, and I can act as your guide, creating a complete itinerary for your visit. Hi there! I’m an easygoing person who likes sharing experiences and meeting people from abroad. I studied Economics and Business at University, and then worked for a local bank. In 2022 I moved to Dublin as part of a student program. Currently back in El Salvador I am working again for another bank. I love mountains and waterfalls more than beaches. I usually rather staying home than going out at night, but if you're new in the City it's a different thing, I want to show you every place we can go to, day or night. Being born in a small country, it has been easy to explore different places in a short time. As of today I can tell I know my country better than the 99% of its population does. Trekking has allowed me to be in many amazing places such as Ilamatepec, Chinchontepec and Conchagua volcanoes, Apaneca and Chalatenango Mountain Ranges, Tamanique and Tacuba Waterfalls. From December to May is the best time to explore these paradisiac places.

• Salvadoreño 🇸🇻 ************************ACTUALIZACIÓN************************ ACTUALMETE RECORRIENDO LA PATAGONIA 🇦🇷 🇨🇱 A partir de noviembre del 2022 hasta el año 2027 me encontrare viajando solo en un vehículo 4x4 camperizado, comenzando mi viaje por Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia y todo Sudamérica. Entre los propósitos que tengo en esta nueva etapa de mi vida es llegar a lo más austral de América o fin de este continente del lado sur, me tomará un par de años lograrlo, pero estoy claro que debo cumplir y lograrlo. Viajo con una filosofía de vida, varios propósitos, objetivos he intereses, porque esto no solo es viajar. *nunca me ha gustado ser un simple turista* Al ser un joven de 25 años cuando comencé a hacer mis primeros viajes solo, siempre quise mejorar mi manera de viajar y conocer los países profundamente, siendo también alguien que le gusta explorar maravillas naturales, aventurarme, llegar a esos lugares ocultos de los territorios y países donde pocos conocen, por lo cual he decidido tomar esta nueva aventura en mi vida, todo ha llevado una planeación de 3 años que luego les contaré en persona… Ex Mochilero, aventurero, explorador, overlander, errante… Por ahora no me queda mas que decir, me alegraría mucho poder compartir con todo tipo de personas y lograr convivir en esas distintas realidades en las cuales no pertenecemos pero con el acercamiento gracias a couchsurfing podemos tener ese tipo de experiencia y conexiones con gente local. Debo aclarar lo siguiente, como me encuentro viajando en mi Vehículo, también podría aceptar solicitudes para que distintos viajeros me puedan acompañar algunos días a nuevas aventuras, ya que poseo espacio para una persona más y así poder compartir. De igual manera a gente local donde me encuentre, me gustaría poder hacer solicitudes de estancia, para compartir ese tipo de experiencias que busco en este viaje., en mi vehículo llevo lo necesario para vivir y dormir en el, así que no molestaría mucho a mis host, quizás con un estacionamiento me vendría bien, por lo demás yo me encargo, soy bastante auto suficiente. Siempre he sido independiente laboralmente, me gusta seguir aprendiendo oficios, trabajos, cosas técnicas, cualquier nueva forma de llenarme de conocimiento y ganarme la vida. Siempre he estado abierto a diferentes maneras de vivir, ahora me encuentro viviendo una etapa más energética y espiritual, siendo más consiente con todo el entorno que me rodea. De niño siempre me gusto y me sentí atraído por la naturaleza, pero ahora convivo y disfruto más de ella, practicando deportes, pernoctando, explorando y viajando, me gusta respetar y cuidar de todos los animales y seres vivos que me rodean.
