New to Couchsurfing0 FriendsLives in Leticia

Hi! I’m from Austria and currently travelling around South America. It's my first solo travel and after 5 weeks in Peru I'm ready for Colombia. I’m new to Couchsurfing, so let’s see how this goes :) I love travelling and I’m definitely up for adventures, spontaneous plans and exploring places together. But I’m equally happy with a very unspectacular afternoon: sitting in a café, reading a book, writing in my journal or just watching people go by. I’m also the kind of person who can walk into a café “just for a quick coffee” and somehow still be there two hours later, completely lost in a book. I’m travelling independently, so I don’t expect my host to entertain me or spend all their time with me. I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing. But if you feel like grabbing a coffee, cooking something, going for a walk, having a drink or showing me your favourite place, I’d be very happy to join. I’m curious about people, cultures, food and the little everyday things that make a place feel different from home. I like having a plan… and then completely changing it when something more interesting comes along. For me, Couchsurfing is less about simply having somewhere to sleep and more about the people you meet and the experiences you might share along the way.

ABOUT ME I am traveler as heart, i´m always say that the best way to see every new place is going to the bar, get a beer, talk to the people and meet locals. So them they can tell you where is the nice waterfall, treks, swimming areas, and the good food.

Hello world ! I'm Nina from Grenoble, cute little town known also as the French Alps capital ! Currently working in a hostal in the community of Santa Sofia ( Colombian Amazonas ) a little paradise 1h hour away from Leticia, by the river Amazon. The hostal is a little gem, far from mass tourism, and offers accomodation, food, and tours at a very interesting price. So if you're interested, feel free to get in touch, the hostal is Huasi Amazonas Hostal Tour, if you want to take a look at instagram :) A bit about me : First solo trip experience in 2019, was supposed to travel South America but my heart got stuck in Argentina really....so I still have a very good reason to come back and explore more of South America ! Spent some months working in a hostel in Buenos Aires, cried laughed and loved on its beautiful balcony, that witnessed so many beautiful stories ! Anyway, I think to this day, working in this hostel might have been the most beautiful experience in my life :') Spent some time, here and there, then worked with a charity, then Covid, then back to shool, and now trying to find my way somewhere around I guess... I could say I'm very curious, like to learn and discover new things, understand the social context of where I am. I like to notice little things. Like the sound of policecars according to countries. I also often start learning a new language, but never quite finish learning.....( trying to work out this quiting thing x) Anyway, longing to meet you! insta : ninouchkka https://linktr.ee/nina.vergain ( films and photos )
