Because I can't do surf surfing, not that I've tried. I like meeting new people a lot!

Some of my favourite books are Crime and Punishment, The Wasp Factory, Satanic Verses, Cancer Ward, 1984, Midnight's Children, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Sun Also Rises, 100 Years of Solitude, Papillon, A Farewell to Arms, A Clockwork Orange, Othello, Moll Flanders, Jane Eyre, Oliver Twist, The Hobbit, Goodnight Mister Tom, About A Boy, The God of Small Things, Harry Potter!, Shantaram, Cat's Cradle, A Short History of Nearly Everything, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Disgrace, Brave New World, The Shadow of the Wind. Oscar is king. And I like most popular science and things by Ian McEwan, Murakami, Stephen Fry, J M Coetzee, Hemingway, Chuck Palahniuk, Bill Bryson, Iain Banks or George Orwell too. I have awesomely terrible taste in music.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I did that marathon in France where you try about 30 wines on the way round - it took 5 and a half hours! Once I managed a Guardian crossword in 7 minutes ;)

I can sing all the countries in the world! (c.1980s) No other notable skills. ...wouldn't mind learning some, obv.
