CURRENT MISSION To meet interesting people ABOUT ME Being retired, my husband and I spend our time leisurely meeting people, walking around our city, reading, cooking, gardening and socialising with friends and family. We are still planning our next trip to visit UK and Europe beginning end of May 2011. We are both very friendly and welcome considerate people into our home. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I am a new member of CS and have recently hosted another traveller from France who was most delightful. I am now learing how to participate in the CS community. It is very interesting. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have recently hosted another CS from France and the experience was very worthwhile. I hope I am able to do it again soon.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movie we have recently seen is The King's Speech - very good. The most interesting book I have read in the last year was Norman Doidge's book on the plasticity of the brain. As I used to play the French Horn, I love classical music and also pop music from 60's & 70's. My husband loves Jazz.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Borobudor Temple in Java.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn about other people's philsophy of life and why they have it - in other words their journey to where they are now. I can share/teach my knowledge of dementia and how to cope with it if you have a family member/friend diagnosed with the terrible disease.
My Interests
I am interested in cooking, sewing, tennis, gardening, reading, movies and sharing good wine with good friends.Due to my profession I am very interested in the brain and how it works, so discussions in that area I find very stimulating.
