CURRENT MISSION Travelling across Netherlands, Belgium, French coasts, plus the Rhine and Danube from November 20 December 10 ABOUT ME Vancouver resident, 27 year old who has seen a decent fraction of the world. I've done my share of freewheeling and backpacking, but these days I mostly travel with work. I've been to 9 Canadian Provinces, 42 American States, 6 Australian States, both islands in New Zealand, Mexico (if Tijuana counts), Netherlands, Germany, Turkey, England, Wales, and Scotland. By the end of 2010, I'll add Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Switzerland, Austria, and possibly Spain/Portugal to the list. I'm currently in the middle of a six week business trip across the UK and Europe. PHILOSOPHY On one hand, I want to understand the world as it is. On the other, I want to take as much from it as I can get, and make it mine. The more I see and the older I get, the less these oppose each other.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I will be in Amsterdam from November 13th through November 20th. After this I will be driving along the Atlantic Coast of Netherlands, Belgium, and Northern France before traveling inland on the Rhine. Looking for cool folks to share the experience with. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've had a couple people stay on my couch in Vancouver.
Music, Movies, and Books
In the past decade in a half, it's safe to say that I've been a fan of most genres of music that the 20th century has spawned, but these days I'm usually listening to hip-hop, with the odd Tom Waits/Iron Maiden/Bruce Springsteen/Nico Case/Blue Note Jazz album for good measure. I've been playing guitar since I was 14, and I can play and handful of other instruments. I also produce electronic/hip-hop instrumentals, if you're interested in having a listen, feel free to ask.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I once spent a month as a deckhand on a lobster boat on the Indian Ocean. Sheer isolation, 70 foot waves!
My Interests
As far as activities and hobbies are concerned, I like being outside, travel, producing/making music, road-trips and excursions, pitch and putt, hiking, discovering new restaurants and bars, socializing with friends, photography, reading, fishing, and surfing (though I get out FAR less than I would like to these days). I'm a really good cook, when the mood strikes.
