CURRENT MISSION To travel often and make connections with new people. ABOUT ME I'm a returned Peace Corps volunteer from the beautiful island of Madagascar who relocated to Seattle to start some new adventures. I'm originally from Oak Park, IL and studied Political Science at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). When traveling I'm interested in meeting new people, and getting to know the place I'm visiting.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING After a fantastic experience surfing while studying abroad I am really looking forward to hosting in the future. Unfortunately my living arrangements don't allow for that right now, though as I mention on my profile I'm always up for grabbing a cup of coffee! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have had some incredible experiences through couchsurfing thus far, and I'm only just getting started! Some of my favorite CS moments include hiking in Nyon, a private concert with 18 other couchsurfers in The Hague, and celebrating Queen's Day in Amsterdam. I can't recommend CS highly enough as a place to not only find a place to stay when traveling, but to meet incredible people along the way.
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all genres. There's absolutely no alternative for quality live music. Book-wise I just got finished reading "The World According to Garp" and never tire of reading a good Oscar Wilde short. I have a list of 40 books to read in the near future and am always open to new suggestions!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a native English speaker I enjoy speaking to other people who want to practice their language skills. I'm working on improving my spoken French and have taken a semester of Arabic and would love to learn more!
What I Can Share With Hosts
Stories, and an interest in hearing their own.
My Interests
I played for my university's rugby team, and love being a part of that community. In the last 4 cities I've lived in I've found a team to play with and have met some of the best people by doing so. I also love to read, knit, send/receive postcards, and engage in good conversation.
