CURRENT MISSION teach a naos how to walk properly ABOUT ME Update: I live and study in Maastricht now! When not travelling I tend to check CS only every once in a blue moon and dont recieve communication from CS. If you want to surf my couch please send me a request to p(dot)strohmeier(at)student(dot)maastrichtuniversity(dot)nl be sure to include a link to your profile and whatever you would include in a regular CS request. ----> this is oldish information, i need to update this eventually, but it may still give you an impression of me. I love Vienna and know my way around quite well ... I love giving tours of Vienna and know lots of interesting little facts and stories ... if you want a tour Id enjoy doing that. Also, go ahead and read my references (Though like most references they are biased and overly positiv - note that i can be an irresponsible pain in the ass as well) you can check out my myspace to find some additional impressions on me: http://www.myspace.com/fkeel Also i play/participate in several bands/projects check out: http://www.myspace.com/logathore http://www.myspace.com/dersandmannsingt (to name the two that i am investing the most work in at the moment) * I am currently studying international economics in Eisenstadt, close to Vienna but I will either be moving back to Vienna or possibly to Maastricht next semester. In Summer I usually work as a social worker in northern Germany. I grew up half american, half austrian, though now I guess I am slightly more austrian than american - though sometimes I wish it where the other way around. Ive lived in many different places - the longest permanent adress I have ever had though was in Vienna. * I also have profiles on StudiVZ and Facebook, though I dont use those networks a whole lot, so they are probably not very informativ... PHILOSOPHY ... no idea. i am not big on commen moral cliches. i tend to do things my way ... i guess thats something witch many people like about me and a couple of people. well. dont.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING - Hosting - Connecting travelling music - Spreading the word - Setting up events for CS Artists and Musicians COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Since my travels usually are very spontaneus and irratic i have not actually done that much actual "CS" Couchsurfing. My best couchsurfing experience ever though was in Bucharest, where somebody i met in the subway and asked how to find a hostel ended up hosting me for a weak :-) I have had guests who have become good friends, i have hosted perfect stranger not affiliated with CS or HC and who i have never heard of again... I have been to HC meetings in the baltic states, i have met most of the Belorussian CouchSurfers (at least the ones from Minsk :-) My first ever CS Couchsurfing experience was in Berkely CA. I hosted the Couchsurfing/GigSwapping event in Vienna and met a bunch of amazing Couchsurfing Musicians... Couchsurfing defnitly adds richness to my life.
Music, Movies, and Books
Fav. movies: Avalon, Existenz, Mullholland drive, Naked Lunch, Knocking on Heavens Door, Broken Silence... My music taste has changed a lot lately ... i used to be into all kinds of metal Black, Folk, Industrial etc. ... lately my favorite bands are Jaya the Cat and Sublime ... i also like lots of elektronika (chemical brothers, Air, Prodigy to name some acts...) and i am also into Klezmer and all kind of european and eastern european traditional music. 1:31 PM 4/3/2009 Something happend, witch i never could have anticipated - i have fallen in love with house and minimal electro. (check out the german label BPitch Control ... and even stranger then that, I realised, that i am really into 8bit music... (listen to some Din Stalker on last.fm if you want to give it a try :-) Check out my last.fm profile to see more of my music listening habbits: http://www.lastfm.de/user/FKeeL/ Authors: Niel Stephenson, Kafka, Ursula K. LeGuin, C.S. Lewis, Roger Zelazny, Dörremat, Hoffman, Trudi Canavan 1:31 PM 4/3/2009 Most recent book i have read is UBIK by Philipp K. Dick... and for some uncanny reason I think there is another book out there, that is amasingly similar. The whole "half life" concept... im sure i have read about it in some other book as well... and some of the characters seem really familier... anyone know why? where i might have read it?
One Amazing Thing I've Done
... ask me. i like telling stories :-)
