CURRENT MISSION I am not on a mission :-) but I love to travel and even after many years of traveling my curiousity has not become any smaller :-) ABOUT ME How to describe myself? Well, my passions are traveling and photography, I love movies, like art, the outdoors, coffee or wine with friends and listening to a good audiobook while I travel somewhere ;-) I said once that if I can ask a person only one question to get a tiny little idea about his/her charachter I would ask for 5 of the favourite movies. So here are some of mine: Life is beautiful, Shawshank Redemption, Mystic River, The Notebook, Life of David gale and Patch Adams! All of those have a combination of sensitivity and passion ..for me the best combination possible! My life used to be a little different than most of my friends and for sure than most of my fellow Germans. I worked 7 months a year in seasonal jobs in hotels in National Parks in the US like Yellowstone or Denali or in ski resorts like Aspen and take 5 months off to see friends and family and to travel. So, half of my friends thought I was crazy as I have my degree (tourism management and marketing) and used to carry luggage for a living ..and the other half who works in management envied me for this way of life - and I think it was not any better or worse ... it is just different! Now I am back in Germany ...and after such a great long kind if "dream life" ..it is not easy to get back into the "regular more normal" life ;-) PHILOSOPHY I am very liberal and open to new ideas

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have been traveling for a long time ... as I am very curiuos and like to explore the world. I have met a lot of interesting people in my travels and most of the time the best memories from my trips are some conversations in a hostel somewhere with 3 different people from all over the world at 02 am. When I travel somewhere it is always great to meet up with locals to get a real inside in a place and in the culture of the country. I have experienced that by visiting a lot of friends in my travels and had friends visiting me as well. I would love to host interesting people as well, but I live in a very boring non touristic small town in northern Germany and therefore do not get many couch requests ;-) and I can't blame anyone. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I am still pretty new to Couchsurfing as I have only "used" it a few times so far, I have experienced other hospitality communities like SERVAS before though.
