CURRENT MISSION To approach Point B but never actually arrive ABOUT ME One of the things people find different about me is that I never watch commercial TV - haven't for decades. However, I love movies. I like good strong coffee, read copious number of books, listen to good music. Mainly, I just want to chill for the time I have left and maybe do a little good. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've slept on many couches, hitch-hiked across the USA twice (years and years ago when there wasn't such a concentration of crazies.) I've been to Ecuador where I taught math at an orphanage for a bed at night and a plate of rice once a day.

The most amazing thing I ever did was hike across the Grand Canyon from the North Rim to the South Rim - in July - in 125 degree weather - in fourteen hours.

I want to learn to speak Spanish. I can show anyone how to play just about any key on a guitar by using a capo.
My Interests
I want to travel as much of the world as I can in the time I have left but, and this is important to me, I want to do it slowly. I am more interested in seeing the little things; talking to the old guy sitting on the park bench and the kid shining shoes then I am in running a rat maze of tourist attractions. I do want to see things like the Pyramids and the Great Wall but I don't want to just check them off of a list. When I go to see the Great Wall, I want to talk to the guy illegally selling soft drinks in the guard post.
