CURRENT MISSION While Im retired, Im an extrovert who really enjoys people, thus a couple business pursuits in retirment almost satisfy my interest in people ABOUT ME I hope they feel Im helpful, honest, reliable, sympathetic, genuine....I strive to be those things. After earning a BS in Agronomy, I worked a few years with Dupont, with their biochemicals dept (crop production materials, pesticides, forestry products....also taught part time evenings at a county technical school, later worked 32 years with a USDA agency dealing with the Federal Crop Insurance program. Im releiable, honest, sincere, generally a real nice guy......also tame, laid back, physically fit for my age (LOL) PHILOSOPHY Always be an optimist, find the bright side, treat others like you want to be treated.....always be honest, do what you said you would...

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have been active in community activities, especially when my son was young, assist with wifes preschool, enjoy interacting with clients both thru crop insurance agent activity and my mobile mechanic enterprise.....strange mix, but know alot about both topics.. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE none

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Where do I start..feel lucky to have have been a parent of a great son....love to travel, see new things, enjoy deep sea fishing, seeing and feeling the beach, architecture, engineering marvels wherever they are. I will update as more comes to mind.

I have learned alot from mentors when I was much younger, now its my turn to share "life skills" if given the opportunity.
My Interests
I like to be self sufficient in areas such as home repair, gardening, lawn care, mechanics. I help most folks who ask me for advice, often lending a hand in the effort.....I enjoyed the sciences when in college, and still do alot of research. Professionally, I have alot of background in crops and soils, whether from the lab standpont or from the production standpoint. IF I can help you, I will.
