CURRENT MISSION I love to travel, and try to cram it in as often as possible. Not ultra needy, pretty independent, tidy. I've lived in a bunch of different countries; I'm open and respectful of however you think, and only wish for the same in return. ABOUT ME Hi I'm a single, 39 woman from the US. I'm pretty laid back, funny at times, and I think I'm easy to get along with. I've spent most of the last fifteen years trotting around the globe, although there are so many places left to see. I'm more the artist type, I love music, art, literature, and the outdoors as well. There's nothing better than a beautiful sunset over the water. I live in Seattle, and spend most of my spare time trying to cram in a trip somewhere, or writing on my kid's novel, or my adult book-depending on my mood. PHILOSOPHY My Mother told me I am indulgent with my time. She's right, my time is important and I like to use it as wisely as possible. I don't believe in living for working, (don't get me wrong right now I work about 70 hours a week), but for me, I don't believe in selling my soul to a large corperation. I want to be happy in my life, experience new ideas, and thoughts; keep myself as open as possible. Life should be enjoyed, and full of whatever your idea of beauty is.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just heard about this project, so I've really not done much to contribute but I would love to help out in the future. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've surfed on many a couch. I love to travel, and therefore, if someone needs a place I have no problem putting them up, because of what I've received in my own travels. I own a house with my 2 brothers, and can't tell you how many couch sleepers we have every week!
Music, Movies, and Books
Right now I am reading Joanne Harris. I gravitate towards fiction the most, but non-fiction can be wonderful as well. I like fluffy movies but serious as well, and indies as well. Music I'm all over the board from classical to rock to indy. The only music I'm not a big fan of is hard-core rap, and hard-core techno.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Tikal. Milford Sound. The sculpture David. There are so many... Friends who've survive breast cancer, lymphoma, and cervical cancer.

My Interests
I love cities, nature, water, mountains, art, culture, people watching. Sitting in a cafe, drinking tea and watching the world go by. Reading a good book, watching a good movie, swimming, shopping, oh, and did I say people watching. Wait, a good glass of wine, or a nice hoppy beer is alway vastly appreciated!
