Doing my PhD in Social Anthropology focusing on China. Currently on fieldwork in China and Taiwan. Interests in international development, ethics, animal-human relations amongst others. I'm never happier when I'm on the move, meeting new people, getting through challenging situations. Life was not meant to be lived in one place. I love dogs. If you have a dog I may never want to leave. I have a great interest in the meaning of life and am always keen to hear other people's philosophies and ideas. Although I lost my idealism a long time ago. And I constantly change my opinions and ideas so this will all be wrong by the time u read it.. PHILOSOPHY Life is short. Don't take things so seriously. Especially yourself. Try to find the middle way.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
When I can’t host I organise events wherever I am based. I go to the couchsurfing meetings and a lot of my friends are couchsurfers. It's sort of a life philosophy for me - we should share everything we have.
Music, Movies, and Books
Waking life. Lost in translation I can watch a million times. I read Classics, travel writing, and all the random spirituality books I can get my hands on.. I like every type of music except for pop. I especially like Electro for parties ;)

I'm a qualified vipassana meditation and hatha yoga teacher. I speak mandarin and need to practice. I can teach sign language but it's Nepali sign language! I can also train dogs..

My Interests
I'm interested in travelling and in learning new ways of thinking about life. I enjoy experiencing different peoples' perspectives. I'm interested in alternative living, living in communities and more away from society. I think people can really learn from each other and from putting themselves in new situations to learn about themselves. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about world religions. I also love music and like to party!
