HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Just starting :-) I was very amazed when I heared about CS on the radio just recently aroung 1985 I was part of a group of conservationists (protecting nature + animals) and we had the idea to create a network for people who want to travel and don't have much money.. then we had no internet and just started out promoting it through some magazines.. it worked, later I lost contact with it, because my live changed, but I'm totally happy to find --26 years later-- that the same idea has become such a great sucess! I will be happy to host someone once and a while. My partner is rather shy, and would be overstrained if we had visitors all the time. In summer I spend some time in Italy where I own a quite wild piece of land. There I can always offer a place for a tent, it's beautiful for who loves nature! Right now I'm planning a trip to New York with my daughter, but don't want to take her to hotels. From my own travelling experience I know how wonderful it is, to meet people and know about their lives, instead of just looking at statues ;-) and I'm shure my daughter would be absolutely happy to go to some cool club with a "real New Yorker" .. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE again: just starting but had some similar experiences in the past (see obove)

how to walk in the dark with no light I learned this when I lived in Italy in my Camper and all my torches where broken, found out that it is amazing!
