I cut my teeth on Hermann Hesse and John Irving - I fell in love with John Crowley and Neal Stephenson - I'm currently reading Maeve Binchey! Music? Bob Marley and Kate Bush when I was a kid - Joanna Newsom and Radiohead now. Fellini, Mike Myers, Fassbinder - oh, and I love Clueless.

I have watched someone who had no confidence in himself learn how to make things of which he was eventually very proud.

Oh, I know a little bit a about a lot of things. I taught teenagers design for many years, and had to know how to do the beginnings of just about anything - from making films, to designing buildings, to making good clothes. I love to learn...
