Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I’ve been using Couchsurfing since 2011, but in a very selective way. For me, this is something rare and truly meaningful. I don’t use Couchsurfing to save money — but I fully respect those who do. What I look for is something much deeper: the opportunity to truly connect with the person who hosts me or visits me, and to experience the city through real local eyes. I believe the beauty of Couchsurfing is not just traveling, but understanding how people really live: their routines, their favorite places, their way of seeing the world. Every person I chose to host or stay with has been very special to me. With some, I built real friendships. We still keep in touch through WhatsApp or Instagram, and I have even met some of them again. I remember every experience, and each one has its own place in my memory. The cities where I had these experiences are the ones I carry most deeply in my heart. I can also help you discover my city from a local perspective.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music and literature are an essential part of who I am. I love all kinds of music, but especially Gothic Rock, darkwave and post-punk. I also enjoy Brazilian music and some pop/rock. In literature, I love poetry, the classics, biographies, and any kind of writing that deeply touches the heart — especially Brazilian writers such as Lya Luft and Adélia Prado.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Travelling has given me some truly unforgettable experiences — especially when I had the chance to meet special people along the way. And, beyond every place I’ve ever been, the best place in the world will always be my grandmother’s embrace... a place I deeply miss.
