Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE While I lived in London I hosted a range of different folken from europe, and stayed in Copenhagen with a lovely cs friend. the best couchsurfing experiences are ones when you start off hosting a stranger and end up as lifelong friends.
Music, Movies, and Books
All movies by Tim Burton, anything with Johnny Depp, anything that teaches me something - i am a chronic documentaries fan, Discovery channel woohooo! - favourite authors are HST (bless his acid-wrenched soul), Tom Robbins, Pete McCarthy, etc. Favourite bands are Jackie Mittoo, Kula Shaker, Bjork, Mood Phase Five, the Doves, Xavier Rudd, Rage against the Machine, Beatles, Doors, Tool, Arcade Fire ummm.. and probably thousands others that have slipped my mind
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Slaughtered and prepared a cow for a villiage feast in ecuador. climbed an active volcano. parasailed. held down a sensible job for a year. Undertook studying maths at university. Maybe that is less amazing and more unrealistic. Oh and I nearly gave up smoking which is pretty impressive. for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basic gardening and would love to learn more about gardening! I could try to teach academia like maths/accounting/economics but might dissappoint. I could supply lots of literature for people to read on 3rd world development/political injustices etc.
My Interests
I used to be multifaceted in my hobbies. indoor badminton, singing bowls, all were fair play. now i am focused on gardening. I am propogating and growing a range of veggies and my room is overwhelmed with orchids and ferns and whatever else i can get my hands on. I play extremely amateur tennis occasionally and have been swearing to join a friend in a round of croquet but haven't come through as of yet.
