Hi! I am from the Netherlands and I work as a software engineer. Because I can work remotely, I have the opportunity to travel a big part of the year. I have done several multiple month trips this way, to South America, South East Asia, the Balkans and Turkey. Usually I travel quite slowly, I take my time to get to know a place, I like to meet local people and get to know the local culture, but I also enjoy going to museums and going to local restaurants and cafes. Besides that I enjoy other things such as hiking, playing guitar, cooking, outdoor sports, reading (about psychology, spirituality, history, economics, geopolitics and many other topics) and programming (my career is also my hobby). I have done multiple trips of at least half a year, to Asia, South America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. My favorite way of traveling is by motorbike. I like to plan as little as possible to leave room for spontaneous ideas and random encounters. In the future I want to buy my own motorbike or campervan and work online while traveling with it. For me that's the ultimate freedom.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite writers are David Graeber and Yanis Varoufakis, both of them write about politics and economics. I like acoustic guitar and piano music. I play some basic guitar myself.

What I Can Share With Hosts
I don't have my own place right now, but one day I hope to return the favor of hosting. I have many good experiences from being a surfer and one day I want to give back.
