Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE My family picked up three German backpackers at an outdoor event in Sydney. They ended up staying with us for a week. They were wonderful girls, and it was one of the more extraordinary experiences of my life!
Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my more particular ones: The music of Gilbert & Sullivan and Eric Bibb. Musicals in general. The books of Jane Austen, Elizabeth Peters and Jasper Fforde. General geekiness: Whedon, Sorkin, Rowling, Tolkien, etc. British comedy: Blackadder, Black Books, Yes (Prime) Minister, Absolute Power

I knit. As with all knitters, I often get, "Can you make me a ____?". And as with all knitters, I reply with, "No, but I'm happy to teach you." Whether you want to start a basic garter stitch scarf or need to borrow some stitch markers for your shetland shawl, I'm up for it.
